Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2016 - January

Hello again, blog readers. Thank you so much for viewing and commenting; it encourages me to press on with the learning curve of cyber-social networking. The interwebs invention seems to really have caught on and is evidently going to be around for a while (like the Gutenberg printing press, maybe?).  So while I'm diving in to virtual friendships, I haven't given in to a smart phone yet.
These eye-catching blocks were designed by Angela (?) over at soscrappy as part of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2016.  January's featured color is Snowflake, a/k/a blue.  Six of these comprise the far left side of her Column Along Sampler.  I've never done a rainbow quilt so I'm excited to be checking it off my bucket list.

We have our first snow flurries here in western Maryland today - yay!  I think.  At least if it's going to be overcast again there are some pretty flakes to to see.

Roo says he's gonna pass on all that.

Please join me over at these Tuesday linky parties to share your work and encourage others:

  2. Your blue Twinkle blocks look beautiful. I'm passing on Angela's sampler this year in favor of a different pattern, but I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone's comes together.

  3. LeeAnna again... girl are you in Baltimore? I'm in Severna Park! I like those star blocks Angela designed, and they're on my list to do.

    1. Yes, she really does a lot! Must be the energizer bunny of quilting -- lol. I'm between Hagerstown and Frederick.

  4. Pretty star block, especially in blue. Born and raised in MD. Went to Frostburg State College in the 60's. Haven't been back yet but hope to someday.

    1. It's probably changed a lot since you were here last; all the Baltimore urbanites have moved west. Thank you for commenting.
