Here's a pic of what I'm working on today.
Inspired by my mother's cathedral window posted recently, my own is calling out for completion. Started during the camping season of '07 or '08, it's about time it got done, huh? It has all been hand pieced, although recently I've seen machine methods for this pattern.
Join me over at Kathy's Quilts for the Slow Sunday Stitching link-up party, or even make a commitment for a January finish at the One Month's Goal linky at Red Letter Quilts.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.

Beautiful quilt!
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful indeed, how big are those squares? I haven't seen any machine methods that beat the look of a hand-done Cathedral! Good Luck with your finish, and thank you for linking up Kimberly:)
ReplyDeleteThank you for commenting. Starts with 7-inch muslin squares, and the calico is 1-1/2 inches. From "Classic Quilts" book from Leisure Arts I think.
DeleteI agree the hand stitched ones are just more pleasing to the eye if you ask me. Have fun stitching today!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. A lot of stitching.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I have always loved this classic quilt.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteAll stitched by hand? I'm so impressed! It will feel so good to get this goal completed.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your goal! I also have a cathedral window bed runner that I need to work on but I'm saving that for another month.
