Cathedral Window for Slow Sunday Stitching and OMG

Here's a pic of what I'm working on today.
Inspired by my mother's cathedral window posted recently, my own is calling out for completion.  Started during the camping season of '07 or '08, it's about time it got  done, huh?  It has all been hand pieced, although recently I've seen machine methods for this pattern.

Join me over at Kathy's Quilts for the Slow Sunday Stitching link-up party, or even make a commitment for a January finish at the One Month's Goal linky at Red Letter Quilts.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.

  1. Looks beautiful indeed, how big are those squares? I haven't seen any machine methods that beat the look of a hand-done Cathedral! Good Luck with your finish, and thank you for linking up Kimberly:)

    1. Thank you for commenting. Starts with 7-inch muslin squares, and the calico is 1-1/2 inches. From "Classic Quilts" book from Leisure Arts I think.

  2. I agree the hand stitched ones are just more pleasing to the eye if you ask me. Have fun stitching today!

  6. Good luck with your goal! I also have a cathedral window bed runner that I need to work on but I'm saving that for another month.
