Caught Up Thru August

Hopefully, September's block will be finished in time for the linkup with Patterns By Jen 2020 Monthly Color Challenge.

Also, "I'm a farmer now."  At least I tell my teenagers that when I parade from the garden toward the kitchen showing these off (as they roll their eyes).

Thank you for reading my blog!  I really mean that.

Trying to Build Momentum

Many of us have been 'thrown off' our sewing game this year.  I too am trying to get back on the horse, but only if he's wearing a pretty cotton blanket.

So in catching up on the 2020 Monthly Color Challenge from Patterns By Jen.  Here is August:

And also March and April:

Inspiration: Paducah Quilt Week 2019

If you have not seen this video, please find about 16 minutes and enjoy it.  I was just a bit teary-eyed and very inspired by the lady's story near the end.  I hope everyone who reads this is doing well!

Thanks,

Kimberly

Catching Up after a Rough Week

Which I won't tell you about until the final paragraph.

First below is the January block of the Monthly Color Challenge
freely offered at Patterns By Jen .

Next up, and shockingly to me, here's the
COMPLETED-on-time Traffic Jam, quilted along
with Pat Sloan.  I'm glad I took her suggestion to use a fast,
'easy' gentle wave pattern for the stitch.  My FMQ skills are
still... wanting, lol.  But these tops have got to be done.

Maybe I'm not catching up so much as barely crossing
home plate on these items.  I should have chosen Traffic Jam
for my One Monthly Goal because the snowman wall hanging
may never be done.  Evidently I admire applique more than
I like actually doing it.

Sew many tempting Blocks of the Month and Week and short
and long-term quilt and stitch alongs getting underway right
now!  Plus several squirrels have crossed in front of me which
I ran right after!

Finally is my relatively rough week, relatively because my
first-world life is actually pretty cushy.  Sew, my car broke down
Monday and was not back until late Thursday; meanwhile, two
of three college commuters, which I'm supposed to drive, got
the flu.  With that, my back 'went out' and I had Jury Duty.  Um,
can I go back to boring normal now?

Thank you for taking time to read my blog (and let me vent).

Country Charm Weekly Progress & Other Stuff

Behold Mount Scrapmore Rolling along on Country Charm Qal hosted by Daybrook Designs.

Traffic Jam continues apace.
Slow Sunday Stitching might be a first for me on this blog.  I'm warming up for the Bloomtopia Stitch along.
and you will see no capital letters "a" because I'm still struggling with my computer replacement issue.  lol

Thank you for using your valuable time to read my goings-on!

Country Charm Progress

Here's the cutting stage for this week's quilt along with Daybrook Designs.  #DaybrookDesignsCountryCharm2020 if you Instagram.
My laptop is in intensive care, probably won't make it through.  I really hate when that happens 😔.  So I'm using my husband's, with the broken Aa key.  Yep.

Thank you for reading my blog!
