Fat Quarter Storage, Laundry, and IT *ell

Aren't I supposed to be quilting?  Well, laundering new fabric and enhancing its storage is close to quilting, but sure doesn't feel like it.  What's that you say?  "Problems" I should be happy to have?  You are correct indeed.
This is a repurposed nursery chest of drawers that now houses my color-grouped fabric that measures between a FQ and less than a yard.  See that empty space on the bottom right?  It's in the wash!  Actually everything else will just fill out as what's new is integrated, or what's lost to elsewhere is unburied from piles of yardge.

After six hours in Information Technology hades, I think hope I've stopped being a no-reply blogger.  I've iterated so many times through every profile and email screen available that I'm not certain how it happened.  Probably should have asked my 12-year-old to do it in six minutes instead.

So there is little or nothing to show for my quilty life but the above pic, unless you'd also like to see a pic of my computer screen with the life choked out of it.  Almost.

Linking up this snarky post to The Quilting Room with Mel, Quilt Story, and Blossom Heart Quilts.

Thank you for reading my blog.

  1. Well, it's not what you wanted to do, but job well done! That pretty picture of fabric all washed, pressed, and organized warms the soul. So take heart that the boring job is done and get sewing gal!

  2. I'm always impatient to get started but the anticipation and planning is fun too! Your fabric drawers are just too neat, ha.

  3. You and I store our fat quarters in the same fashion. I did a good cleaning and organizing about 6 months ago, and posted a picture on my blog. Isn't it great to have an organized space? Well done!
